VCS’s Annual General Meeting or AGM is set for Monday, November 29, 2021, at 7:00 pm.  In light of the most recent Provincial Health Orders to limit gatherings to 50 people, the Board has opted to facilitate a portion of the meeting in-person to a maximum of 50 people participants (not including those involved in facilitating the meeting), and a portion via Zoom.

Why should I join in?

The AGM is a time to discuss school business and requires a quorum or minimum number in attendance in order to conduct any business or hold any society votes for board membership, financial decisions, and for other decisions that impact the school.  Your participation is not only appreciated but necessary to ensure that decisions are made that best reflect the needs or desires of the society through majority vote.  This is your chance to get an update on what various committees, task forces and the Board itself have been working on in order to support the Administration and staff in equipping disciples and providing excellent, Christ-centered education for the students at VCS.  There are exciting updates to share with you regarding the campus expansion project as well as candidates you will be asked to consider and affirm for a three year term of board membership.  Your voice matters and you will be given different opportunities to give your feedback through email, online survey, and, although in limited capacity, through discussion and voting within the AGM itself.  Please take the opportunity to participate in the decisions that serve your children and this community now and for years to come.

How do I join in?

You MUST register to take part in the AGM.  See the following options:

In-person:  Registration to join in person will be done on a first-come, first-serve basis.  One person from each household will be permitted to join in person up to a maximum of 50 registrants.  If you or one person from your household would like to take part in the meeting in person, please RSVP by clicking the following link as soon as possible:  LINK HERE

Zoom:  If you would prefer to participate in the meeting via Zoom, you will need to register in advance using the following link (meeting link provided after you register):  LINK HERE

Note:  Those participating in Zoom should each individually register and then each participant should join in on a separate device.  If two or more people take part on one device, only one vote will be counted.

What else?

The Agenda & Reports Package is being assembled and will be emailed to you within a week’s time for you to review prior to the AGM.  This is where you can find out more detail about what each committee has been working on.

There will be some limited time for questions at the AGM.  After you review the package, the Board will ask that you email any questions you may have to the Board Chair Darrin Taylor ( or the appropriate Committee Chair (first initial, last name prior to Thursday, November 25/21 in order to give time to review questions and answer them as thoroughly and efficiently as possible.
