No longer just an open house intended to draw new families in… As time has passed, Showcase has evolved. This year, parents, grandparents, supporters and visitors walked through the door and were met with an opportunity to hear from students and see learning at VCS in real time! A celebration of learning and community was indeed in full swing.

“I loved seeing the engagement of parents, students & staff. Smiles, contentment yes even pride – but the good kind…” VCS Staff member about Showcase

Many new students and parents from grades K to 12 have joined our school community for a variety of reasons. When asked “why” – the discussion often revolves around our education program and school community. They like what they hear about VCS and want to be a part of it.

Showcase provides our newest and long-time members with an updated snapshot of a VCS education – in action. As well, Showcase also helps to establish family connections, visit with familiar faces and put names to new ones. And yes –  it still serves to provide visitors with a first hand experience to life at VCS.

It’s a bit of everything…

“I guess the answer is yes, yes, and yes. It accomplishes all of that and, for me, I am ok with it (showcase) being hard to define. I guess it is pretty cool that, with that focus (learning) as our starting point, that all this other magic can just happen…it just happens.” VCS Staff member about Showcase

Showcase provides an opportunity for us to come together and celebrate and well… SHOWCASE –  our unique learning community.

Thank you for taking the time to respond to the Showcase survey. Your feedback was important!
