We are about to send out an outstanding group of young people into the world…  To help capture the thoughts and plans of our grad class we started a new tradition at VCS this year. Enter the 2016 VCS Grad Survey designed to find out where our grade 12’s were planning to go after graduation and to share a few thoughts about their time at VCS.

Some statistics to note:

  • 83% of this year grad class has set plans for post-secondary education this fall – with another 2 more students intending to enrol the following year.
  • 43% will be relying on student loans to help cover costs
  • 67% will be hoping for bursaries and scholarships to help cover costs
  • 90% mentioned personal savings, parent support/RESP

When asked to share how has VCS equipped you for the ‘life’ ahead ? This is what a few of them shared…

“VCS has shown me that God can be incorporated into every part of life, no matter what it is that I’m doing or involved in. I have learned to not just leave God on the back burner while life goes on, and that He can be active in anything and everything that I’m doing.” Chasity

“VCS has blessed me with the academic success I was able to achieve to get into the post secondary school of my choice. It has pushed me to question the ways of the world and talk about what’s happening and pray about it. VCS has given us students the ability to push ourselves to be different than the ways of the world and to have a servant heart in our community.” Mika VIMG_1485

“VCS has equipped me for ‘life’ ahead in two ways. 1 – My education 2 – My faith.” Noah C
