For the 2nd DTS of the year, some students went to Heron Grove and baked cookies with the folks there
The Grade 5 class had been talking about being “Earth Keepers”, learning about topics such as reducing garbage, reusing, recycling, and composting. One of the items we learned about that causes a lot of problems for our environment and the animals in our environment is the plastic bag, so we learned how to make reusable bags out of old t-shirts.
