September – October 2025: Excavation, footings, foundation walls, and gymnasium slab
The ground breaking for this project by Bear Paw Earthworks happened at the end of August and it was full speed ahead from there!
We were thrilled to learn that the earthworks were less-intensive than expected. So much so, that we were able to pivot our plans in order to add the shell of Pillar 4 – Classroom Wing! This 5-classroom addition was something we did not think was feasible at this time. Thanks to these efficiencies, and fantastic donor support, we made the decision to add that building envelope now and finish it over time. Praise the Lord!
Once completed, the concrete team (Dycor Builders) shifted into high gear, pouring the footings, foundations walls, and gym slab over a 6 week period. They continue to work on the main concrete components of this project, with hopes of completing before the snow arrived!
November 2025 – February 2026: Wall Panels, Roof, and Interior Rough-Ins
The hard work continued throughout the Winter and the weather cooperated nearly every day! The crew at Dycor worked hard to get the wall panels up, which was a very well-choreographed process.
Next, the trusses were lifted on and the roofing crew at TRS attached the q-deck and several layers of roofing membrane on the gymnasium.
Once this roof was on, mechanical, electrical, and fire suppression teams began installing their materials in the gym and changeroom areas.
We were very thankful for such a mild winter, allowing the schedule to be maintained!
We are just getting going, and the needs are still great… Our Make Way Campaign has raised $2.4m out of the $3m target. Thank you to all who have partnered with us and given a gift!
