Vernon Christian School students completed in the 39th Annual Spaghetti Bridge Competition in Kelowna.

VCS students take home gold in the 29th Annual Spaghetti Bridge Building contest at Okanagan College in Kelowna this past Friday, February 23rd.

The objective of this competition is to build the lightest open-span arch or truss bridge that will support a mass of 1.0 kg. The bridge is to be constructed using only spaghetti and hot glue while meeting the specifications stated in the contest rules.

This year VCS sent 5 teams to Kelowna to complete. All students built fantastic-looking bridges and represented VCS well. The winning bridge weighed 73g and held a weight of 1kg for 60 seconds.

Congratulations to all the teams who competed!”
