What does serving at Thanksgiving time look like at Vernon Christian School?

Sometimes it’s going out and doing hands-on serving projects, like in our driven-to-serve program. Other times it’s our students supporting organizations who are doing really great work in our community! This month as we prepare for Thanksgiving our students supported 2 wonderful local programs.

Upper Room Mission – kindergarten to grade 12 students raised $224 to help Vernon’s Upper Room Mission host a Thanksgiving meal for their clients.
Salvation Army Food Drive – our middle & high school students (Gr 7-12) donated over $1,178 lbs of food. In addition to the 1,178 lbs, a local grocery store, Fresh Co came alongside our students and donated an additional 150 cases of soup! Thank you Fresh Co for your generous support!
We want to thank Salvation Army and Upper Room Mission for allowing our students to support you in the great work your organizations are doing in our community.
